You will bring people, priorities and processes together in an established, growing professional services firm with 55 team members, including 7 partners. With strong foundations, trusted client relationships and a clear strategy, the firm is deepening its position as a challenger in the SME and mid-market accounting and advisory space. Having recently moved from a partnership governance structure to a CEO/Board model, the business is entering its next stage of maturity with greater alignment around structure, market offering and growth. Your role is not to take control away from leaders. It is to help the business work better across teams, create clearer rhythms and strengthen follow-through so leaders and managers can spend more time on clients, people and growth. You will translate strategic priorities into clear actions, accountability and follow-up. You will support leaders to make better decisions around capacity, workflow and priorities, while helping teams adopt common collaborative ways of working. Key areas of focus will include: Creating firm-wide operating rhythms and accountability. Improving visibility of capacity, workload and delivery bottlenecks. Supporting better resource allocation across teams. Standardising core processes where consistency will improve quality and efficiency. Strengthening systems, workflow tools, automation and practical use of AI. Working with the experienced Admin Manager to ensure support functions remain well connected to the firm’s operating rhythm. What it takes to be Successful You are likely to be a commercially sharp operations leader who works well through influence, trust and collaboration. You have proven how to bring structure to a growing professional services firm without making it feel heavy. You can work with technically strong professionals, listen well, clarify priorities and help teams move in the same direction. You will bring: Experience improving operations across professional services, advisory, accounting, engineering, legal, consulting or similar people-led environment. Strength in workflow, capacity planning, collaboration and follow-through. Commercial acumen and an understanding of utilisation, service delivery and profitable growth. A calm, practical leadership style that builds confidence across teams.
