About the Role Join a major NSW Government transport and infrastructure maintenance program supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight and materials across regional New South Wales. This hands-on field-based role involves operating heavy rigid vehicles fitted with lifting equipment, supporting civil maintenance crews, and assisting with general site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and on time. Role: Truck Driver (HR Gang Truck) Location: Waratah NSW Rate: $47.29 per hour super Start: ASAP Duration: 3 months (extension possible) Hours: 4 days per week, 9.5hours/days (no RDO) Work Type: On-site Key Duties Operate HR heavy rigid trucks to transport bulk materials, tools and equipment to and from work sites Use truck-mounted hydraulic lifting equipment safely in line with operational procedures Support civil construction and maintenance teams with loading and unloading activities Assist with manual handling and general labouring tasks when not operating the vehicle Conduct pre-start and routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance Follow site safety plans, traffic management requirements and government work standards Maintain accurate records including logbooks, delivery notes and work documentation Assist with small plant operations where required and within competency Work collaboratively with supervisors and field crews to support efficient project delivery Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and contamination control procedures Requirements Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver licence C6 crane ticket essential Franna crane experience highly regarded Rigging and dogging ticket required Experience operating trucks with hydraulic lifting equipment Previous exposure to civil construction, transport or infrastructure environments Small plant operation experience preferred Strong manual handling capability and willingness to support ground crew High regard for safety and compliance in all work activities Ability to pass police check and provide two reference checks Ability to supply required licences, tickets and onboarding documentation Australian working rights essential (no sponsorship available) Willingness to work in a regional location and undertake living away from home arrangements About the Client Our client is a large NSW Government agency responsible for the planning, delivery and maintenance of road and transport infrastructure across the state.
