Food Manufacturing | Marrickville, NSW | $140,000 - $150,000 Super A well-established Australian food manufacturer with a strong retail presence — supplying Coles, Woolworths and independents nationally — is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to take full ownership of their QA function. This is the top quality role on site. You're not joining a big corporate layer — you'll have real authority, a direct line to the General Manager, and genuine influence over how quality is built and maintained across a busy, growing operation. The Role You'll lead a small team (Quality Coordinator and Quality Officer) across a primary manufacturing site in Marrickville and a secondary site in Auburn. The business currently runs three shifts, five days a week — it's a high-output, high-care environment — and they need someone who can hold the standard across it all while actively driving improvement. Key accountabilities include: Full ownership of HACCP, allergen management, TACCP/VACCP, and food safety programs Leading SQF certification, Woolworths WQA, Coles supplier audits and all third-party audits Production release decisions, NCRs, CAPAs, and environmental monitoring programs Supplier approval, performance management, and risk-based supplier audits QA input into NPD — formulation sign-off, hygienic design, shelf life and process validation Managing Coles and Woolworths quality relationships and retailer complaint investigations Developing your team and building the bench for multi-site oversight as the business grows What We're Looking For This role will suit someone who's been there and done it — a hands-on QA leader who knows the systems, can manage competing priorities without dropping the ball, and brings genuine energy for building a better quality culture.
