Key Responsibilities Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in engines, vehicle systems, and related components using advanced diagnostic equipment Removing, dismantling, and inspecting engine assemblies, gearboxes, steering systems, and other mechanical parts to determine faults and repair requirements Repairing or replacing damaged, faulty, or worn components and reassembling vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service guidelines Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and engine tuning to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with emission standards Rebuilding and reinstalling engines, transmissions, and associated components following repairs or overhauls Testing, calibrating, and fine-tuning repaired mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation Utilizing computerized diagnostic tools and scan equipment to assess vehicle performance and detect faults accurately Conducting vehicle inspections and preparing reports outlining roadworthiness, safety concerns, and recommended repairs Providing roadside breakdown assistance and emergency repair support when required Skills and Qualifications Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Strong technical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of modern automotive systems and repair techniques High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and effectively within a team Current driver’s licence preferred What We Offer Competitive salary package based on experience and skills Stable full-time employment opportunity Supportive and professional team environment Ongoing training and career development opportunities Modern workshop facilities and equipment If you are a reliable and motivated Motor Mechanic looking to join a reputable automotive business, we encourage you to apply with your resume and relevant qualifications.
