Due to ongoing operational growth and workforce shortages within the transport industry, we are seeking an experienced and reliable MC Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful applicant will undertake duties consistent with Truck Driver (General), including but not limited to: Operating Multi Combination (MC) heavy vehicles, including B-Double and Road Train combinations, for transport of freight, specialised loads and dangerous goods; Performing pickup and delivery services for mining and industrial sector clients; Driving heavy vehicles across regional, remote and outback areas, including dirt road and off-highway conditions; Loading, unloading and securing freight in accordance with transport safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements; Connecting and disconnecting trailers from heavy vehicle combinations safely and efficiently; Conducting pre-start inspections, safety checks and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance; Ensuring all transported goods, produce, containers and specialised freight are correctly labelled, secured and documented; Estimating load weights and ensuring safe load distribution within legal transport limits; Verifying delivery documentation, manifests and proof of delivery records; Safely transporting dangerous goods in accordance with applicable transport and safety regulations; Operating forklifts and lifting equipment where required for freight handling operations; Conducting routine preventative maintenance and reporting vehicle faults or repair requirements promptly; Maintaining accurate fatigue management records, logbooks and transport documentation; Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures, heavy vehicle legislation and company operational policies at all times; Assisting with general transport and operational duties as directed by management. Skills and Experience To be considered for this role, applicants must possess: Valid Australian MC (Multi Combination) Truck Licence; Unrestricted Class C Driver Licence; Current High Risk Work Licence and forklift operating experience; Dangerous Goods (DG) licence or willingness to obtain; Minimum 2–3 years of relevant truck driving experience; Experience operating B-Double and Road Train combinations; Experience in regional, remote or outback transport operations highly regarded; Ability to reverse and manoeuvre vehicles in confined loading and unloading areas; Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify vehicle faults; Strong understanding of heavy vehicle compliance, safety and Chain of Responsibility obligations; Ability to work independently and within a team environment; Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; Commitment to workplace safety, professionalism and ongoing learning.
