No overseas applications will be considered The Company Our client is a Tier 1 electrical contractor delivering end-to-end electrical, integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions across utilities, infrastructure, transport, renewables, commercial and industrial sectors nationwide Due to continued growth within our Infrastructure and Utility Design divisions, we are seeking an experienced ASP3 Design Engineer to join their team The Opportunity You'll deliver high-quality ASP Level 3 electrical designs for utility, infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects across NSW and broader Australian markets. Working closely with the construction, project management, and delivery teams, you will develop practical, compliant and practical designs for HV and LV networks from concept to energisation Why join our client? Work with one of Australia’s most established electrical contractors Be part of a national business delivering critical infrastructure projects Integrated design-to-construction delivery model Diverse project portfolio across utilities, infrastructure and renewables Long-term career development opportunities Collaborative and technically strong engineering environment Exposure to major Tier 1 projects and clients nationwide Key Responsibilities Design overhead and underground HV/LV electrical distribution networks Prepare ASP3 contestable works designs in accordance with DNSP requirements Develop: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) Cable route layouts Substation layouts Earthing and protection concepts Street lighting designs Civil/electrical interface drawings Liaise with DNSPs, including Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy Coordinate approvals, submissions and design certification Perform engineering calculations, including voltage drops, cable sizing, fault level assessments, pole loading, and network capacity analysis Support delivery teams during construction and commissioning phases Ensure all designs comply with DNSP standards, Australian Standards, Service & Installation Rules, safety and environmental requirements About You The must-haves! ASP Level 3 accreditation or demonstrated experience Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Experience delivering utility and infrastructure projects within NSW Strong understanding of: HV/LV distribution systems utility connection processes protection and earthing principles overhead and underground reticulation Working knowledge of DNSP standards and approval pathways Experience using design software such as AutoCAD/MicroStation/Neara/PLS-CADD/PowerFactory/ETAP Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary project teams Construction and practical delivery knowledge are highly regarded Desirable Experience The nice-to-haves!
