About the role: Our established and growing team is looking for a Carpenter with at least one year of experience. The position will offer a competitive base salary of $75,000-$80,000 plus superannuation The successful candidates should: Key Responsibilities • Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures. • Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts. • Cutting materials, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts. • Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items. • Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls, ensuring they are levelled and compatible. • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated. • Erecting framework, roof framing and verifying the trueness of structures. • Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames. • Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install. • Cutting wood joints and repair existing fittings. • Compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations. Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, education, and experience: Hold a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate III in Carpentry. Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Ability to carry out carpentry and formwork duties to a high standard across residential and commercial construction projects. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Capable of reading and interpreting technical plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
