THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Chef to manage and oversee daily kitchen operations. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and cook Modern Australian and International Fusion dishes to menu specifications Plan and design menus in consultation with the Head Chef Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Ensure compliance with food safety standards and HACCP requirements Supervise and train kitchen staff, including apprentices and cooks Monitor and manage inventory, stock levels, and food costs Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment Assist with special events, functions, and themed menus Ensure all dishes meet dietary and allergen requirements SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Cookery (or equivalent qualification) Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Chef Experience in Modern Australian and/or International Fusion cuisine Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods Excellent communication and team leadership skills Proven ability to manage stock control and food costing Must have the right to work in Australia WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary of $76,515 plus superannuation Opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative kitchen Supportive team environment with room for growth Work in a unique venue with live music and entertainment TO APPLY Please send your resume and cover letter to monkeytreemark@gmail.com Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
