Ministry Worker – Be Part of Transforming Lives Port Macquarie Corps is seeking a passionate, Jesus‑centred Generations Ministry Worker to champion a vibrant discipleship culture across children, youth, families, and the wider church community. This role exists to lead people of all ages toward knowing Jesus deeply, living out their faith authentically, and multiplying disciples who make disciples . You will help cultivate a church environment where every generation is valued, equipped, and actively engaged in the mission of God. You are calling in action Building relationships with children, youth, and families, walking alongside them in their discipleship journey. Creating intergenerational pathways that bring generations together in worship, mission, and community life. Developing intentional discipleship frameworks that help young people grow in faith and transition confidently through life stages. Ensuring all programs are Christ‑centred, safe, engaging, and aligned with The Salvation Army’s mission and values. Providing pastoral care to children, youth, and families within the Corps and broader community. Building strong internal and external partnerships that expand opportunities for meaningful engagement. Advocating for young people across all areas of church life, ensuring their voices and gifts shape the ministry of the church. Creating opportunities for young people to explore leadership, service, and mission. Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to serve effectively in Generations ministries. Ensuring compliance with all Salvation Army policies, including safe ministry and reporting requirements. Actively contributing to the wider Port Macquarie Salvos team and church mission. Who we are praying for Someone who: Has a qualification in youth work, children’s ministry, social work, theology , or similar (desirable). Experience facilitating and evaluating programs for young people and families. Has a strong commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army . Has the ability to offer pastoral support, pray with others, and clearly communicate the Gospel. Experience in ministry leadership (desirable). Understanding of Salvation Army doctrines and principles (desirable). A current Driver Licence , Working with Children Check , National Police Check , and First Aid (or willingness to obtain). The opportunity Part-time (3 Days) permanent role based in Port Macquarie Circa $65,600.00 superannuation (Prorated to 39,360.00 superannuation) Sunday mornings are required, as this is a key time for Generations ministry and intergenerational worship. Other weekly hours offer flexibility, with a preference for Wednesdays for team rhythms and ministry connection.
