About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Technical Specialist / Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Belmont. Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Development in Melbourne, you will play a key role supporting branch operations and client mine sites, providing practical engineering expertise across product support, troubleshooting, site investigations, and improvement initiatives. This is a dynamic role combining office-based engineering with regular site engagement. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Technical Support Provide expert advice on screen media selection, fitment, and troubleshooting Conduct site audits and application investigations, delivering clear recommendations Analyse wear patterns and failure modes, identifying root causes and improvements Support new product development through field feedback and testing Plan and execute site trials, including monitoring and reporting Site & Operational Support Attend client mine sites to support audits, investigations, and screen conversions Work closely with Service teams during installations and upgrades Conduct regular and ad hoc site visits to maintain strong operational support Prepare detailed inspection and site reports Customer & Project Support Partner with Sales and Service teams on customer visits and technical discussions Assist with engineering projects, including coordination, documentation, and follow-up Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations About You Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) Minimum 10 years’ experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, and problem-solving skills Experience in wear and materials performance (e.g. rubber, polyurethane, steel) Proficient in CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) and interpretation of technical drawings Strong understanding of mining safety, QA, and site compliance requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Willingness to travel to mine sites as required (valid driver’s licence essential) Why Join Us?
