WestLink Workforce sourcing an experienced, trade-qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic with strong field service experience for a full time, ongoing role on a Goldfields site. What’s on Offer: Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off (day and night shift rotation) Flight Details: FIFO from Perth Facilities: Work out of a fully stocked, state-of-the-art workshop on site Employment Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities Working within the Goldfields region, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy surface mining equipment. You will bring: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset. The ability to work autonomously as a field service specialist, as well as collaboratively within the wider maintenance team. High attention to detail to ensure maximum fleet reliability and minimal downtime. Experience & Equipment Knowledge We are seeking candidates with strong technical knowledge across major heavy equipment brands, including but not limited to: Komatsu (e.g., 900 / 600) Caterpillar (e.g., 38t Excavators) Volvo (Loaders) Hitachi, Sandvik, Epiroc, and John Deere Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you must possess: Trade Qualification: Australian recognized Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Certificate. Field Service Experience: Proven background in field service operations within a surface mining environment. Driver's License: A valid, current driver’s license. Current National Police Check (within 6 months) Communication: Strong English communication skills (both spoken and written). Visa Note: Working Holiday Visa (WHV) holders with the required trade certificate, experience, and excellent communication skills may be considered.
