This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of approximately 20 forklifts , including well-known brands such as CAT and Combilift . The fleet ranges from 3-tonne to 8-tonne units , offering a varied and rewarding workload. What's On Offer? ✔ Immediate start available ✔ Secure, full-time opportunity ✔ Competitive hourly rate based on experience ✔ Work with a respected market-leading business ✔ Modern workshop and well-maintained fleet ✔ Monday to Friday role with overtime opportunities available ✔ Supportive team environment Key Responsibilities Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on forklift fleet Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults Perform breakdown repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues Maintain CAT, Combilift, and other material handling equipment Complete service reports, maintenance records, and inspection documentation Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment compliance Minimise downtime through proactive maintenance practices Liaise with operations personnel regarding equipment performance and repairs Maintain a safe and organised work environment Essential Requirements Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or similar Previous experience servicing and repairing forklifts, mobile plant, or material handling equipment Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems Current driver's licence Ability to work independently and manage maintenance schedules Strong commitment to workplace safety Highly Desirable Experience with CAT and Combilift forklifts Forklift licence (LF) Experience with fleet maintenance management systems Welding and fabrication experience About You You are a proactive and reliable technician who takes pride in maintaining equipment to the highest standards.
