Osborne Richardson is delighted to be assisting our local government client with a Statutory Review Officer for a temporary contract opportunity. Key Responsibilities Assess and manage statutory reviews and infringement appeals Assist with the preparation of Magistrates Court prosecution matters Interpret and apply relevant legislation, local laws and regulatory requirements Manage enquiries, complaints and customer requests relating to compliance matters Provide advice and support to Community Safety and Compliance teams Prepare reports, correspondence and administrative documentation Maintain accurate databases, records and case management systems Support community education and awareness initiatives Liaise with residents, government agencies, police, legal representatives and other stakeholders. About You To be successful, you will bring: Experience in a regulatory, compliance, local government or similar environment Strong knowledge of legislative and statutory review processes Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation and legal documentation Excellent written communication and report-writing skills Well-developed investigative, analytical and decision-making abilities Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage challenging conversations professionally Advanced administration and database management skills The ability to prioritise competing workloads and meet deadlines A collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Essential Requirements Diploma in Local Government Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Current Victorian Driver's Licence Current Working with Children Check Ability to obtain a satisfactory Police Check.
