Our mission is to advocate with and empower people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, supporting them to rebuild their lives on their journey to homefulness. How you will make a difference Working within our Aged City Living (ACL) team, the ACL Program responds to the needs of vulnerable and socially isolated people 50 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 45 years and over, experiencing or at risk of homelessness. In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide support to a small team under the direction of the Team Leader, to provide effective and timely delivery of services to clients who are experiencing, or at risk of homelessness. You will engage with clients one to one to provide services including transportation to various appointments, assisting with home visits and welfare checks and providing assistance and education to clients on a day to day living including budgeting, shopping and personal welfare. This role is offered on a part time fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027. About you To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate skills in a similar role working with vulnerable people with varying complex needs. Ideally, you will hold a Certificate IV in Aged Care, Community Services or a related field with an understating of the issues that affect those at risk or experiencing homelessness. You will be well organised and have the ability to contribute to a team environment, work autonomously and display flexibility in response to changing priorities. Your passion for building rapport with clients, a non-judgemental attitude, patience and empathy are crucial for success in this role. You must have,or be willing to obtain both a satisfactory National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check and hold a valid SA driver’s licence.
