Job Description Position: Senior Project Coordinator Location: QLD, ACT or VIC Start date: End of July 2026 Duration: Approx. 12 months Pay rate: Rates negotiable dependent on skills and experience Security requirements: MUST hold at least a Baseline Security Clearance prior to commencement Overview: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to support a large-scale technology and business transformation program within a Federal Government environment. Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing change and transformation team, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery, governance, reporting, transition readiness activities, and stakeholder engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes and seamless transition of services into operational environments. Responsibilities: • Support project delivery activities including scheduling, reporting, task coordination, and milestone tracking. • Coordinate and monitor project deliverables to ensure activities are completed within agreed timeframes. • Develop and maintain key project artefacts including project plans, transition documentation, executive briefs, risk registers, financial reports, and governance documentation. • Provide program governance support including status reporting, risk and issue management, decision registers, and project controls. • Liaise with business and technical stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution and coordinate approvals. • Assist with the management and coordination of project resources and project activities. • Support change, readiness, and transition activities associated with project delivery. • Maintain accurate project records using relevant systems and tools. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as required. Experience/requirements: • Demonstrated experience supporting IT projects and/or programs, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, budget tracking, risk and issue management, and reporting. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives. • Proven ability to identify, manage, and resolve project challenges in a proactive and collaborative manner. • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documentation and project artefacts. • Experience working within Agile project delivery environments. • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within large multidisciplinary delivery teams. • Experience supporting contract management and procurement activities in accordance with government policies and guidelines. • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Azure DevOps, electronic records management systems, and related technologies. Desirable: • Previous experience supporting projects or programs within a Federal Government environment. • Experience working within a SAFe Agile delivery framework. • Relevant certifications such as SAFe Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2 Agile, or equivalent.
