Description About the Role Are you passionate about technology, process improvement and helping people get the most from their business systems? Global Engineering & Construction (GEC) is seeking an Applications Support Engineer to join our growing Brisbane-based IT team. This role will support a range of critical business applications across finance, operations, payroll and ERP systems, helping drive efficiency, automation and continuous improvement across the business. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple departments, you’ll combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to identify opportunities for improvement, optimise system performance and deliver practical solutions that make a real impact. With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by: · Provide support, maintenance and troubleshooting across ERP and other critical business applications. · Gather and document business requirements, translating them into system improvements, enhancements and automation opportunities. · Collaborate with Finance, Operations, People & Culture and other business units to improve system functionality and user experience. · Manage integrations between business systems, including timesheet, payroll and operational platforms. · Liaise with software vendors, review release updates and coordinate system enhancements and upgrades. · Develop process documentation, deliver user training and support successful adoption of new technologies and system changes. What You’ll Need to Thrive: · Experience supporting ERP or business applications within a commercial environment. · Strong understanding of business process mapping, requirements gathering and system improvement initiatives. · Exposure to automation and integration tools such as Workato, Boomi or similar platforms. · Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the business. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. · Relevant IT qualifications and a genuine interest in learning, developing and growing your technical capability.
