Ipswich Hospice is a fully accredited 7 bed private hospital which provides end-of-life inpatient care to adult members of the Ipswich community without charge. Hilda’s House is part of our organisation and provides grief and bereavement counselling services to adults and children without charge. Ipswich Hospice was built by the Ipswich community and is a not-for-profit organisation. We are partly funded by the State and Federal Governments, however we have a fundraising and events calendar which supplements our budget, along with bequests, workplace giving and donations. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are keen to provide individualised compassionate care to members of the Ipswich community at their end-of-life. Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff. Qualifications: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
