Blaze Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established global food manufacturing business. This is a permanent night-shift role working from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am . The role would suit a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys hands-on maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown support, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. About the role Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out mechanical breakdown repairs, fault finding and equipment maintenance Completing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks Supporting equipment rebuilds, repairs and production line reliability Working across conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings and packaging machinery Completing maintenance records and work orders through Upkeep CMMS Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and external contractors About you To be successful, you will ideally have: Certificate III in Engineering, Mechanical Trade, Fitting and Turning, or similar (C8/C7 will be highly regarded) Previous experience in food, FMCG, manufacturing or production maintenance Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Full-time work rights in Australia Experience with production machinery, packaging equipment and plant maintenance Ability to work safely, communicate well and operate independently on the night shift Forklift, confined space, working at heights and EWP licences will be highly regarded.
