The Warehouse Storeperson is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods. This role ensures inbound and outbound products are processed efficiently and inventory is maintained at optimal levels through regular cycle counts and system reconciliation. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) performance, safe work practices, and the absence of inventory non‑conformances. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse, production and office-based teams while operating autonomously in a fast‑paced environment. Accuracy, attention to detail, safety awareness and a strong customer focus are essential. Key Stakeholder Relationships Internal Stakeholders Logistics Controller National Operations Manager Director – Michael Schmaedeke Sales Team Finance Team Quality Assurance Production and Warehouse Staff External Stakeholders All customers of Ayva Contracted transport and trucking companies Key Performance Indicators Safety performance Accurate receipting of goods Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Store Operations Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently Receive and inspect raw materials and finished goods Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch, including relevant documentation Label, mark and store stock correctly and accessibly Build, wrap and secure pallets for transport Operate forklifts and electronic pallet jacks safely and competently Arrange transport for outbound deliveries Maintain material supply levels for production machines Conduct regular inspections of inventory for damage or faults Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are in good condition Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment at all times Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Planning to locate inventory and provide stock reports Inventory Control Monitor inventory levels daily to meet customer and operational requirements Perform daily stock balances, reconciliations and adjustments via SAP Conduct regular cycle counts across all stock locations and update systems accordingly Identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Set and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels based on demand Manage consumable materials and report shortages proactively Liaise with Planning to ensure inventory aligns with sales demand and minimises write-offs Coordinate inventory processes, systems and reporting across all locations Key Competencies Customer and Outcome Focus Seeing the Bigger Picture Engaging People Delivering Results Key Skills and Capabilities Proven experience in warehousing and/or inventory control Current and valid forklift licence (high reach up to 8 metres) Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Experience planning and executing stock counts High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused and results-driven mindset Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team High level of initiative and self-motivation Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of staff and management Demonstrates professional standards, reliability and strong work ethic Ability to influence peers to adopt and follow new processes Highly adaptable and able to work under tight timeframes Qualifications and Experience HSC (minimum) 3–4 years’ experience in a Storeperson or similar warehouse role Valid forklift licence (high reach) Experience using SAP Warehouse Management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
