The Karalee on Preston is situated in Como and overlooks the Swan River. It’s renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere & award winning food. The Karalee is open for lunch and dinner 7 days & seats approximately 120 people. A rare opportunity has become available in our business for an experienced Cook/Chef. The Kitchen currently boasts an enthusiastic, dynamic and professional team that has a can do attitude and always are happy to go the extra mile for our customers. The Karalee has been an AHA winner of WA's Best Steak Sandwich in 2014, 2017 and 2019. In addition the venue has won WA's Best Casual Dining Pub in 2016 and 2018. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following: · Preparing food items · Selecting and handling the storage of food Ingredients · Able to use professional kitchen equipment . Work alongside the head chef in food preparation and menu planning · Follow standard food portioning and plating · Comply to health and safety standards Requirements: · Qualified Cook/Chef or equivalent; · Excellent attention to detail; · Passionate, "can-do" attitude; . Team player that works collaboratively; · Competent and driven at achieving financial targets; · Able to create innovative food ideas & menus; In return a competitive salary, job stability and the chance for career progression are offered.
