About the Role The Senior Packaging Technologist is responsible for ensuring compliance with packaging sustainability standards across AU, EU, and USA markets. The role focuses on collecting, validating, and analysing packaging data to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities that support DBG’s sustainability and regulatory obligations. As DBG undertakes a multi‑year transformation of its packaging data systems, this role will play a hands‑on part in developing and improving processes that strengthen data integrity, functionality, and consistency. Responsibilities Collect, validate, and maintain accurate packaging specifications and documentation from suppliers. Identify data gaps, compliance risks, and required corrective actions across all packaging formats. Develop reporting templates and generate periodic internal and external packaging compliance reports. Support system and process improvements to enhance packaging data integrity and usability. Provide sustainability insights across the packaging portfolio, including risks, opportunities, and closed‑loop initiatives. Develop packaging solutions that meet product briefs while advancing sustainability outcomes. Skills & Experience 3–5 years’ experience in packaging, ideally within cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG industries. Strong knowledge of sustainable packaging, circular economy principles, materials science, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance. Experience using the PREP tool and working across multiple packaging formats and materials. Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. Self‑starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment. Degree in Engineering, Science, Food Science, or equivalent advantageous.
