The Role Our client is seeking a commercially minded supply chain leader to take ownership of inventory, procurement, warehousing and planning functions across a national operation during a significant period of growth and transformation. The business operates a complex inventory environment with more than 15,000 SKUs, multiple warehouse locations and a national customer base. With a strong focus on operational improvement and business readiness for the next stage of its journey, this role will play a critical part in driving greater discipline, visibility and accountability across the supply chain function. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading a team across supply chain, inventory and warehouse operations while partnering closely with sales and executive leadership to improve forecasting, inventory performance and operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include: Driving inventory optimisation, stock accuracy and working capital improvements Leading S&OP processes and strengthening forecasting discipline across the business Leveraging Netstock and ERP systems to improve purchasing decisions, inventory planning and reporting Creating meaningful KPIs, dashboards and management reporting to improve visibility and decision making Improving supplier governance, procurement processes and commercial accountability Enhancing warehouse performance, operational discipline and service delivery across a national network Developing stronger collaboration between supply chain, warehouse and sales functions Leading, mentoring and developing a small but important operational team To be successful, you will likely bring: Experience leading supply chain operations within an industrial distribution, manufacturing, wholesale or product-based environment A proven track record of reducing inventory, improving stock turns and delivering working capital improvements Strong S&OP, forecasting and inventory planning experience Exposure to Netstock or similar inventory optimisation platforms Experience implementing process improvements, reporting frameworks and operational governance The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence sales, operations and executive leadership teams This role will suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving performance and building structure within a growing business.
