Location - ACT Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance Length of Contract: 14 months The role closes on 17/06/2026 Reference Number: 1114359 Deliverables / Key Responsibilities: Provide engineering advice and assurance on system design, integration, and verification activities across all relevant contracts. Develop, review, and endorse complex engineering documentation, including system specifications, design packages, and technical risk registers. Identify, assess, and manage technical risks and uncertainties, implementing mitigation strategies and influencing project decision-making. All other tasks as directed. Act prudently, ethically and lawfully. Communicate effectively with line managers and Division Head, including consultation with them and taking appropriate direction from them. Employ best practice in the execution of work, focusing on achieving outcomes, ensuring that decisions are made by appropriately qualified and experienced persons, and taking judicious risks. Provide clarity on roles & responsibilities. Encourage transparency and truthfulness. Encourage collaboration and communication. Experience/Skills Sought: Chartered Professional Engineer (or equivalent) or ability to attain chartered status. Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering activities and influence technical outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience in technical leadership roles.
