Lead Safety, Wellbeing & Organisational Excellence An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to join a highly respected organisation in a senior leadership capacity. About the Role As the Senior Manager - Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives, policies and systems that support a safe, healthy and high-performing workplace. Working closely with executive leadership, managers and stakeholders, you will oversee governance, compliance, risk management, wellbeing programs, injury management and organisational capability development. This role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight and will suit a proactive professional who is passionate about creating positive workplace outcomes and driving meaningful cultural change. Key Responsibilities Strategy, Governance & Leadership Develop and implement the organisation's Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy. Provide expert advice and reporting to Executive leadership and the Board. Lead governance frameworks, safety committees, audits and performance reporting. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice. Risk Management & Compliance Lead enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment and mitigation activities. Oversee incident management, investigations and corrective actions. Manage contractor safety systems and assurance programs. Coordinate internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Culture, Wellbeing & Capability Champion a positive culture of safety, wellbeing and respect. Lead initiatives that support psychological safety, mental health and employee wellbeing. Design and facilitate training, education and awareness programs. Coach leaders and managers in proactive risk management and safety leadership. Operational Excellence Oversee injury management, workers' compensation and return-to-work programs. Maintain emergency management and business continuity frameworks. Drive wellbeing initiatives focused on prevention, early intervention and workforce sustainability. Utilise data and reporting insights to identify trends and improve organisational performance. About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Significant leadership experience in Health, Safety & Wellbeing roles across complex, multi-site environments. Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS legislation, risk management frameworks and incident investigation methodologies. Experience developing and implementing wellbeing, psychosocial safety and organisational culture initiatives. Proven ability to influence, coach and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical, reporting and systems management capabilities. Exceptional communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
