Our Client is an Australian renewable energy distributor supplying off-grid, hybrid solar and battery storage solutions. The business supports residential, rural off-grid and commercial & industrial projects through energy products backed by technical expertise and local customer support. The Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing customer relationships across solar retailers, installers and electrical wholesalers. This role focuses on new business development, customer onboarding, product promotion and ongoing account management across the Australian renewable energy market. Your Responsibilities Business Development: Identify, approach and onboard new solar retailers, installers and electrical wholesale customers across the assigned market. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring ongoing communication, service quality and commercial follow-up. Customer Solutions: Understand customer needs and recommend suitable solar, inverter and battery storage solutions in line with project requirements. Product Promotion: Introduce and promote Our Client’s renewable energy product portfolio to customers through practical, commercially focused engagement. Sales Pipeline: Follow up quotations, pricing discussions, customer enquiries and sales opportunities to support consistent revenue growth. Internal Coordination: Work closely with internal sales support, technical and marketing teams to ensure a smooth customer experience. Market Development: Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback within the Australian solar and energy storage sector. Customer Engagement: Support marketing activities, product training, customer visits and industry engagement initiatives when required. Your Skills and Experience Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in the solar, battery storage or electrical wholesale industry is preferred. Customer Relationships: Strong communication, relationship-building and customer engagement skills across B2B environments. Commercial Capability: Basic understanding of sales processes, quotations, pricing discussions and discount structures. Team Collaboration: Strong internal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with sales, technical and marketing stakeholders. Market Interest: Genuine interest in renewable energy, solar and battery storage solutions, with an existing industry network highly regarded but not essential.
