Electrical Engineer – LV/HV Systems & Compliance The Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, testing, certification, maintenance, and compliance of LV/HV electrical systems across industrial, infrastructure, switchgear, and electric vehicle applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in electrical systems, product validation, compliance standards, and testing environments. You will work closely with engineering and project teams to support electrical design, system reliability, certification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Do Electrical Engineering & System Design Design, develop, and maintain LV/HV electrical systems and infrastructure Support engineering activities involving switchgear, control panels, switchboards, and EV systems Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Testing, Validation & Compliance Conduct electrical testing, commissioning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance activities Support product certification and compliance with Australian and international standards Manage validation programs, root cause investigations, and testing processes Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and compliance documentation EV & Advanced Electrical Systems Assist with Battery Management Systems (BMS), telematics integration, and DC-DC charger systems Support electric vehicle and electrification-related engineering activities where required Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA activities, risk assessments, and safety reviews Project Coordination & Continuous Improvement Coordinate with certification bodies, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders Support engineering quality, reliability, and operational improvement initiatives Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and customer engagements Requirements Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering Minimum 8–10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles involving LV/HV systems Strong experience with switchgear, control gear, switchboards, and power distribution systems Experience in electrical testing, validation, and certification processes Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of Australian and international electrical standards, including: AS3000 AS3008 AS/NZS 61439 IEC/EN 60947 series IEC/EN 61439 series Highly Regarded Experience in electric vehicle systems, electric buses, or battery technologies Exposure to HV battery systems, telematics integration, and DC-DC chargers Familiarity with ETAP, LabVIEW, or electrical testing/simulation software Experience working with certification bodies such as DEKRA, UL, or KEMA Exposure to ISO 17025 compliance environments Chartered Engineer status or Engineers Australia accreditation Experience with EMI/EMC testing and electrical safety standards Benefits What’s in It for You Full-time setup Competitive salary (based on experience) Opportunity to work on advanced electrification and EV technologies Exposure to international engineering and compliance projects Long-term growth opportunity within a global engineering environment
