GMHBA Eye Care is seeking a passionate and patient-focused recent Optometry graduate to join our growing Eye Care Network. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your clinical career in a supportive, collaborative, and community-focused environment, with access to experienced mentors, modern technology, and ongoing professional development. We are ideally seeking someone available to commence around early August 2026, making this a perfect opportunity for graduates preparing to transition into practice. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. About the Role As an Optometrist with GMHBA Eye Care, you will provide high-quality, affordable eye care services focused on achieving the best possible health outcomes for patients. Working within a professional clinical governance framework, you will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, preventative care, patient education, and referral management while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. You will work closely with experienced optometrists, dispensers, ophthalmologists, GPs, and allied health professionals across the GMHBA network. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive general optometry services including diagnostic and preventative eye care Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Work collaboratively within the clinical and retail team Develop strong relationships with patients and local healthcare providers Participate in ongoing professional development and training Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Eye Care Network Provide exceptional customer service and patient-centred care Contribute to community engagement and promotional health activities About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A recognised optometry qualification enabling registration in Australia Current AHPRA registration as an Optometrist (or eligibility for registration for graduates) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care Strong teamwork and professional ethics Highly Desirable Therapeutic endorsement and PBS prescribing Experience using Optomate or similar clinical systems OAA membership or appropriate professional indemnity insurance Experience in general optometry practice Why Join GMHBA Eye Care?
