The store focuses on value, customer service and practical access to daily essentials for local shoppers. As a Retail Manager at MID HILL INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD T/A FOODWORKS CHARLOTTE BAY, you will be responsible for organising and controlling the store's day-to-day retail operations, including stock management, service standards, staff supervision, customer service and store performance. This position requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to maintain efficient supermarket operations in a customer-focused environment. Responsibilities and Tasks: Determine the store's product mix, stock levels and service standards across grocery, produce, dairy, deli and meat departments to meet customer demand. Develop and implement purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies for supermarket products, while supporting value-focused offers and catalogue activity. Promote and advertise the store's goods and services through local merchandising, in-store displays and customer-focused sales initiatives. Sell goods and services to customers and provide practical product information, support and complaint resolution when required. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, supplier deliveries, wastage, sales activity and financial transactions. Prepare and monitor store budgets, sales targets and operating costs to support profitable and efficient supermarket operations. Control the selection, training, rostering, supervision and performance of retail staff to maintain service standards and compliance with store procedures. Coordinate ordering, receiving and replenishment processes to ensure shelves are well stocked and perishable goods are managed safely and efficiently. Oversee daily store presentation, cleanliness, opening and closing routines, cash handling and point-of-sale procedures. Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety, food handling, hygiene and retail operational requirements across the store. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Retail Manager Strong leadership and staff supervision skills Sound knowledge of supermarket operations, stock control and merchandising Customer service and problem-solving skills Budgeting, sales monitoring and financial record-keeping skills Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
