We’re looking for a driven Project Engineer with experience delivering civil infrastructure works, ideally across water and utilities projects. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Project Manager, this role will see you supporting project delivery from planning through to completion across active construction environments. Working closely with supervisors, crews and subcontractors, you’ll play a key role in coordinating construction activities, managing documentation and supporting commercial and program outcomes. You’ll be across the detail, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. Project delivery sits at its core . You’ll support cost, program and quality outcomes while keeping projects moving on site. Organised, proactive and solutions-focused, you’ll be a key link between site and project leadership. You’ll be trusted with: Supporting delivery of water and utilities scopes across active civil construction sites Coordinating daily site activities with supervisors, crews and subcontractors on site Reviewing drawings and specifications to plan, sequence and deliver works effectively Preparing RFIs, ITPs, SWMS and maintaining accurate project documentation registers Tracking project costs, variations and assisting with forecasting and budget control Managing subcontractor progress and ensuring works are delivered to specification Monitoring construction program and reporting progress against key project milestones Supporting QA, safety and environmental compliance across all site activities Identifying delivery risks early and assisting with practical solutions on site Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to weekly and monthly reporting What’s in your toolbox? Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification 2 to 5 years’ experience delivering civil construction projects on site Experience across water, utilities or related infrastructure scopes Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and QA requirements Confident managing subcontractors, site coordination and daily delivery Solid commercial awareness including costs, variations and progress tracking You’re the kind of person who takes ownership of your work and follows things through . Practical, organised and calm under pressure, you balance site delivery with commercial awareness. You build trust with crews and project teams, and take pride in getting the detail right.
