Our client is searching for a highly skilled Cook for their busy kitchen in Narooma Hotel. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Cook to join its award winning team. In this role you will be given a great deal of guidance and instruction in assisting with prep and grill cooking. This is a kitchen that thrives on constant creativity and every cook will be encouraged to show what they can do. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the venue’s menu and quality standards. Assist with food preparation, including cutting, marinating, and portioning ingredients. Ensure all meals are presented to a high standard and served promptly during service periods. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and comply with all food safety regulations. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and proper storage of ingredients. Follow portion control guidelines and minimise food wastage. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas and equipment. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Assist senior kitchen staff with daily kitchen operations when required. About You Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or proven experience working as a Cook. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong teamwork and communication skills. A positive attitude and passion for hospitality. Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
