About the Service Brightside Recruitment is partnering with a leading provider that is delivering an innovative service offering free, immediate, and short to medium-term mental health support for adults experiencing crisis or significant distress. The centre provides a welcoming, multidisciplinary environment focused on trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and lived experience integration. The service works collaboratively with GPs, public mental health services, emergency services, and community organisations to ensure accessible and high-quality support for the local community. The Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering crisis and recovery-focused mental health care. This is a key leadership role responsible for clinical oversight, operational management, and service development, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care for individuals accessing the service. You will also play a critical role in building partnerships, identifying service gaps, and driving continuous improvement, while supporting a team of clinical and lived-experience staff. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight of the service Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture Ensure delivery of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and consumer-centred care Oversee intake, assessment, triage, and referral processes Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and compliance activities Build and maintain strong partnerships with health, community, and government stakeholders Monitor service performance, outcomes, and data to inform continuous improvement Lead service planning, evaluation, and development initiatives Participate in on-call arrangements and critical incident management About You You are a confident and compassionate clinical leader with strong experience in mental health service delivery and team management. You bring a collaborative approach, sound clinical judgement, and a passion for improving outcomes for people in crisis. Key Selection Criteria Essential: Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Social Work Current registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW Demonstrated experience in mental health, crisis, or community-based services Experience leading or supervising multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and Driver’s Licence Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Experience working with lived experience workforce models Experience in service development, evaluation, or quality improvement Apply Now If you’re ready to step into a leadership role that makes a genuine difference in people’s lives, we want to hear from you.
