The Working Environment Full-time, studio-based role Based in Surfers Paradise Standard hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm The Role Lead full end to end project lifecycle delivery including briefing, concept, documentation, and construction Manage scope, budget, programme, and resourcing Lead design direction aligned with client vision, budget, and constraints Oversee high-quality documentation (DA, BA, IFC) Coordinate teams and consultants to deliver clear outcomes Ensure compliance with NCC, standards, and regulations Maintain project quality, clarity, and efficiency Mentor and support junior architects and graduates Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment Manage tendering, procurement, and contractor selection Administer contracts and construction phase services Review RFIs, shop drawings, variations, and claims Help shape the culture, standards, and future direction of the practice A Successful Candidate Registered Architect (Australia) with local project experience Strong experience delivering complex residential or mixed-use projects Confident leading projects independently and managing multiple priorities Highly detail-oriented with strong coordination skills Solid understanding of construction methodology, detailing, and structural coordination Experience with precast /modular systems highly regarded Exposure to costing or development-side thinking is a strong advantage Advanced Revit skills Adobe Suite Strong communicator: pragmatic, clear, and solutions-focused Why Join Us Step into a true leadership role with influence across projects and the practice Allocated car space in Surfers Paradise Diverse variety - pipeline of projects (high-rise, townhouse, modular, multi-stage developments) Key leadership role with real ownership and visibility Flat structure with direct access to design leadership Suited to someone that is mature in their career, and can work autonomously and in a team Collaborative, social, and down-to-earth studio culture Open-plan office with strong team environment Mid-year events, team initiatives, and Christmas shutdown Next Steps?
