Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization Design, implement, and maintain efficient operational systems, workflows, and company policies. Monitor daily business activities and clear bottlenecks to ensure smooth, uninterrupted service or production delivery. Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and quality improvement across departments. 2. Team Leadership & Culture Lead, mentor, and manage department heads or supervisory staff to foster a high-performance culture. Set clear performance goals (KPIs) and conduct regular reviews and professional development assessments. Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding strategies. 3. Financial & Resource Management Assist in managing the operational budget, ensuring departments operate within financial boundaries. Analyze operational data, financial reports, and metrics to forecast requirements and optimize resource allocation. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes. 4. Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all business operations adhere to relevant Australian laws, Fair Work regulations, and WHS (Work Health and Safety) standards. Implement robust risk mitigation strategies and business continuity plans. Oversee quality control measures to ensure customer/client satisfaction remains high. Skills and Qualifications Essential Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as an Operations Manager, Operations Lead, or a similar senior management role. Leadership: Strong people management skills with a track record of building and motivating cohesive teams. Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, budgeting, and using operational metrics to drive decisions. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Tech Savvy: Familiarity with project management tools, ERP software, and CRM platforms. Desirable Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field. Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent project management methodologies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Operational Efficiency: Reduction in process cycle times or operational waste.
