About the Role Gidgee Healing is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / Administration Officer to join our team. This is a key front‑of‑house role in a busy, fast‑paced clinical environment. You will provide high‑level reception and administrative support, ensure accurate patient and Medicare processes, and support the training and coordination of reception staff. Key Responsibilities Deliver a high standard of customer service at reception in a fast‑paced clinic environment Coordinate appointments, patient flow, phone enquiries, and daily clinic lists Ensure accurate client data entry Support and train Medical Receptionists Assist with general administration, records management, reporting, and coordination tasks Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies and procedures Contribute to continuous quality improvement and a positive team culture About You You will bring: Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a busy workplace Experience in medical reception and health administration Confidence in patient information systems The ability to guide, support, and train staff Excellent communication and customer service skills, including culturally appropriate communication Essential Requirements Certificate III in Medical Reception, Business Administration, or equivalent experience Previous experience in a senior medical reception or similar health administration role Strong computer skills, including medical records systems and MS Office Satisfactory Police Check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain) Desirable Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation Knowledge of primary health care environments Why Join Gidgee Healing?
