Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter and Maintenance Officer to join our manufacturing team in Kingsgrove, New South Wales. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining production quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner. Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes. Qualifications: Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar maintenance role within the manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
