An established and growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join its Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced land development professional looking to take ownership of projects, lead design delivery, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior engineers and designers. Working across a strong pipeline of residential subdivision and land development projects, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil designs from concept through to detailed documentation while providing technical guidance and support to the wider team. Key Responsibilities Lead the civil design and documentation of residential subdivision and land development projects. Prepare and review designs relating to roads, drainage, earthworks, sewer, water, and associated civil infrastructure. Undertake stormwater modelling and design using industry-standard software. Manage project deliverables to ensure deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are achieved. Coordinate with project managers, councils, service authorities, surveyors, and other stakeholders. Review and provide technical guidance on design outputs prepared by junior team members. Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers to assist with their professional development. Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives. About You Degree qualified in Civil Engineering. 5 years' experience within a consulting environment delivering land development or subdivision projects. Strong experience in residential subdivision and land development design. Advanced proficiency in: 12d Model, DRAINS and MUSIC. Sound understanding of Australian Standards, local council requirements, and development approval processes. Ability to independently manage design packages and coordinate multiple project deliverables. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
