About the Employer Esprit Network Pty Ltd is a leading provider of electronic fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, intercom, traffic signal control, and emergency alert system solutions. The company specializes in the design, manufacture, installation, servicing, maintenance, and compliance testing of electronic systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients throughout New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Due to continued business growth and increasing demand for our services, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Technician (Fire Alarm and Security Systems) to join our team on a full-time basis. Position Title Technician (Fire Alarm and Security Systems) Salary $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience. Job Location Seven Hills, New South Wales Duties and Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: • Installing, testing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, and associated electronic equipment. • Inspecting sites and consulting with clients to determine security and fire protection system requirements. • Diagnosing and rectifying faults in electronic equipment, fire alarm systems, security systems, controllers, cabling, and communication systems. • Assembling, wiring, testing, programming, and commissioning electronic control equipment and controller boards. • Programming and configuring fire alarm panels, access control systems, security controllers, CCTV systems, and other electronic equipment. • Performing preventative maintenance, system upgrades, compliance inspections, and performance testing. • Installing and maintaining structured cabling, network-connected devices, and communication infrastructure. • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and manufacturer documentation. • Preparing service reports, maintenance records, compliance documentation, and technical reports. • Coordinating with management, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. • Maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory required for service and installation activities. • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, company procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements. Skills and Experience The successful applicant must possess: • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant industry experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance, testing, commissioning, or repair of fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, or similar electronic equipment. • Demonstrated fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills. • Knowledge of electronic security systems, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, and networking fundamentals. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and manuals. • Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices. Qualifications Applicants must possess: • Certificate III or higher; or • An equivalent overseas qualification recognised as comparable to an Australian qualification.
