The Opportunity As a GP Anaesthetist, you will provide safe, high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties. You will work closely with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver patient-centred care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Clinical Areas Include General Surgery Orthopaedics Obstetrics & Gynaecology Endoscopy Ophthalmology ENT (Otorhinolaryngology) Urology Vascular Surgery General Dentistry Paediatric Surgery Key Responsibilities Provide anaesthetic and perioperative services across elective and emergency procedures Conduct pre-anaesthetic assessments and post-operative reviews Deliver safe anaesthetic care with continuous patient monitoring Participate in a 24/7 emergency anaesthetic roster Support emergency surgery and critical care responses Provide procedural expertise including airway management and vascular access Participate in Medical Emergency Team (MET) and Code Blue responses Supervise anaesthetic trainees and junior staff where appropriate Support recovery room and day surgery services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes Participate in quality improvement, education, and service development initiatives The Team You will join a friendly and supportive Anaesthetic Department committed to clinical excellence, education, and professional development.
