We are seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics (Service Technicians) to join our team and contribute to our high-quality service standards. Your Role As a Service Technician (Diesel Mechanic), you will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles, ensuring they meet operational and manufacturer standards. Working with a team of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, performing warranty repairs, and maintaining high levels of customer service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair heavy vehicles, including Volvo, UD and Mack trucks, to manufacturer specifications. Perform engine and mechanical tests to identify faults and recommend solutions. Conduct repairs and replacements of engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and other key components. Complete warranty repairs, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines. Maintain accurate service records and report completed work through in-house systems. Provide technical advice and guidance to apprentices and junior technicians. Follow safe work practices, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment. Work collaboratively with the service team and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance. Skills & Experience Qualifications: Diesel Mechanic Certification (Equivalent to Australian Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology). Experience: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience working on heavy-duty trucks. Strong knowledge of Euro 4 to Euro 6 emission standards and modern truck diagnostic systems. Familiarity with auto electrical systems is an advantage. Basic PC skills and the ability to complete reports and documentation. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or within a team.
