Our client is a market-leading software company delivering advanced predictive maintenance and asset intelligence solutions to heavy industry. With decades of operational data and a significant investment in AI-driven innovation, they are expanding their Data Science & AI capability and seeking a Software Engineer – AI & Systems to help build the next generation of intelligent software products. What You'll Be Doing Designing and building AI-powered applications, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines. Developing agentic AI solutions, autonomous workflows, and human-in-the-loop systems. Taking AI models from prototype through to production deployment. Building scalable cloud-native solutions across AWS and containerised environments. Working closely with Product, Data Science, and Service teams to deliver high-impact software solutions. Contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices. What We're Looking For 3–5 years of software engineering experience. Strong experience building and deploying cloud applications or AI-enabled products. Solid skills in at least two of Python, TypeScript, or C#. Strong understanding of system design, APIs, distributed systems, and software architecture. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Hands-on AWS or Azure experience. Docker and Kubernetes exposure. Experience working with modern AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar. Australian work rights (visa sponsorship is not available). Nice to Have Experience with mining, industrial, IoT, or operational technology environments.
