About the Role We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LGBTIQ Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred care and support to individuals living with disability. This role goes beyond day-to-day assistance—you will play a vital part in mentoring, advocating, and fostering a sense of belonging for LGBTIQ clients. Key Responsibilities Provide daily living support including personal care, community access, and skill development Build trusting relationships with clients, respecting identity, culture, and lived experience Offer mentorship and guidance to LGBTIQ clients, promoting confidence and independence Advocate for client rights, inclusion, and access to appropriate services Support participation in community, social, and cultural activities Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans Requirements NDIS Worker Screening Check (required) Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport Working with Children Check (where applicable) Certificate II in Individual Support or any other relevant formal qualification (preferred) Strong understanding of, or lived experience within, the LGBTIQ community (highly valued) Excellent communication, empathy, and advocacy skills What We Offer A supportive, inclusive, and affirming workplace Opportunities for professional development and mentoring The chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives Flexible working arrangements
