Tarkine Consulting is supporting a growing consulting firm expanding its presence across Australia. The business operates in a delivery-led model, working across software testing, quality engineering, DevSecOps, and automation with enterprise and government clients. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to support this growth, with a focus on building and expanding client relationships rather than purely transactional sales. The Role This is a hybrid role combining account management and new business development. You'll take ownership of a set of accounts while also identifying and opening new opportunities. The role is consultative, working closely with delivery and pre-sales teams to shape and win work, rather than operating as a standalone sales function. The focus is on building sustainable revenue and long-term client relationships. What You'll Be Doing Manage and grow a portfolio of named accounts Identify and win new business across enterprise and government clients Lead opportunities end-to-end, from initial engagement through to close Work with senior leadership, delivery, and pre-sales teams to shape solutions Promote capability across testing, quality engineering, DevSecOps, and automation Build relationships across multiple stakeholders within client organisations Maintain pipeline accuracy and reporting through CRM Contribute to account planning, sales strategy, and weekly sales forums Support reverse marketing of consultants into client environments As the team grows, there is scope to step into leadership responsibilities, including coaching and managing sales activity.
