About the Role We are currently seeking Spray Painters / Blasters for work on ship and submarine structures. These roles will see you working across a variety of marine environments, completing surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and industrial coating applications to strict quality standards. This position is suited to both experienced Painter/Blasters and entry-level candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn. What You Will Be Doing Spray painting using products such as epoxies, enamels, acrylics and primers Surface preparation including mechanical prep and feathering Abrasive blasting in facilities, confined spaces, and elevated platforms Operating high-pressure and low-pressure water blasting equipment Applying coatings to specified thickness using wet and dry film gauges Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment (guns, pumps, pots) Completing touch-ups and finishing work across ship compartments Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and work instructions Conducting basic quality checks and rectifying defects Installing containment and maintaining a clean work environment What You Will Need Previous experience in spray painting and/or abrasive blasting (marine experience highly regarded) Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights Whitecard Must be Australian Citizen due to it being defence work What’s in It for You Work on major marine and defence projects Opportunity to develop specialised skills within the industry Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture Multiple shift options to suit your availability Apply Now If you’re a motivated Spray Painter / Blaster looking for your next opportunity, or keen to build your skills in the marine industry, we encourage you to apply today.
