We are currently supporting a major Federal Government program seeking experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineers to support critical enterprise infrastructure, virtualisation, gateway, and operational technology environments within a highly secure ICT landscape. These roles sit within a large-scale operational infrastructure team responsible for supporting and modernising secure platforms, virtualised server environments, data centre services, and gateway/network infrastructure supporting nationally significant systems and services. Canberra ACT Based Dept of Defence, Long-term Contract Roles Current active AGSVA Security Clearance Required Key Responsibilities: Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure, virtualisation, and secure systems environments Deliver infrastructure uplift, remediation, patching, and modernisation activities Manage and support Windows/Linux server environments Support VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualised platforms Provide operational support and troubleshooting Assist with infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and system integration activities Develop technical documentation including SOPs, deployment guides, and as-built documentation Work closely with project teams, operations teams, vendors, and stakeholders What We're Looking For: Technical Experience Across the following: Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware ESXi / vSphere / vCenter, Hyper-V / VMM, SCCM / MECM / SCOM, Linux / RHEL, VMware NSX / vSAN, Firewalls / Proxy / Gateway technologies, Networking infrastructure, Infrastructure automation / scripting, Data Centre support environments, Storage / backup technologies Strong Defence/ secure infrastructure engineering experience Strong troubleshooting and operational support capability Ability to work across both BAU operations and project delivery Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills If you're an experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking to work across complex enterprise environments supporting meaningful national capability, we'd love to hear from you.
