We are currently seeking an Alternate Quarry Manager to join our team at the Lord Byron open pit operation. Reporting to the Quarry Manager and working an 8/6 roster, this role is ideally suited to a technically strong Senior Mining Engineer looking to progress into a statutory leadership position. As the Alternate Quarry Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Acting as 2IC to the Quarry Manager, you will assume full operational control of the mine on swing Oversee and guide the development of mine plans across various scheduling horizons (Short term, medium term) using Deswik to optimise production, cost and pit development Oversee day-to-day quarry operations, including drill & blast execution, loading/hauling, stockpile management and contractor performance Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety systems, environmental obligations and site procedures Drive operational improvement initiatives, including productivity, cost control, and technical optimisation across pit design, sequencing and execution About You Tertiary qualification in Mining/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
