Role Overview We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused Store Manager for a startup jewellery brand focused on modern, affordable designs for everyday wear. As a new retail venture, we are building our presence from the ground up and are looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment—hands-on, proactive, and ready to take ownership. As a Startup Retail Jewellery Store Manager, you will be responsible for running the store end-to-end—from sales and customer experience to operations, staffing, and execution. You will play a key role in building the store, driving revenue, and shaping the customer experience from day one. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Ownership Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets Actively sell on the floor—this is a highly hands-on sales role Upsell and cross-sell jewellery to maximise basket size Track KPIs such as conversion rate, ATV, and footfall Store Setup & Execution (Startup Environment) Support store launch activities including setup, merchandising, and display execution Ensure the store is always visually appealing and customer-ready Take ownership of fixing day-to-day issues without escalation Customer Experience Deliver a warm, engaging, and personalised shopping experience Build repeat customers and local community engagement Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales service Team Management (Lean Team) Recruit, train, and manage a small team of sales associates Prepare rosters aligned with peak shopping centre hours Lead by example—sell alongside the team Motivate team members to achieve targets Operations & POS Manage billing, POS transactions, refunds, and cash handling Oversee opening and closing procedures Maintain daily sales and performance reports Inventory & Stock Control Manage stock levels, replenishment, and stock takes Ensure accurate tagging, pricing, and display of jewellery Minimise stock loss and shrinkage Security & Compliance Ensure safe handling of high-value jewellery items Follow mall and company policies Maintain store security and loss prevention practices Key Requirements 2–5 years experience in retail, preferably in jewellery or fashion Proven sales ability (must be comfortable actively selling) Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently Excellent communication and customer engagement skills Experience with POS systems and retail operations Ability to work weekends, late hours, and public holidays Requirements Key Requirements Previous retail or customer service experience (jewellery/fashion preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for jewellery, fashion, or accessories Basic understanding of sales techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
