About the Role Reporting to the Coordinator – Building Trades Services, the Building Trades Services – Officer delivers high-quality, hands-on minor building maintenance across Shire-owned facilities. Key Responsibilities: Deliver minor in-house building maintenance and repair works Complete maintenance work orders accurately using Council systems Identify and report building defects and maintenance issues Ensure compliance with legislation, building regulations and OH&S Build positive working relationships with staff, users and contractors About You You bring practical building maintenance experience and a strong commitment to safety and service. Building trade, carpentry or maintenance background Knowledge of Building Regulations and National Construction Code Clear verbal and written communication skills Intermediate MS Office and system reporting experience Physical capability to safely perform trade-based tasks Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical assessment , which may include (but is not limited to) functional capacity evaluation, drug and alcohol screening, and any other relevant assessments.
