MCS is a South Australian owned and operated business in the Health Sector servicing Hospitals and Aged Care facilities in the supply and installation of Nurse Call Systems, Messaging Systems and Assistive Care Technologies. Seeking a Technician Looking for a friendly and focused technician, who is polite, well spoken and has a good understanding of electronics and technology. MCS are involved in the installation, servicing and maintenance of Nurse Call Systems, Messaging Systems over Wi-Fi and Assistive Care Technologies within Hospitals and Aged Care Facilities. Our works include construction of new Hospitals, where we are involved with cabling, installation, networking infrastructure, programming and commissioning including High Level Integration of third party systems. Then servicing and maintaining the systems across all of SA including rural and remote locations. To fill the position we are seeking either an experienced Data | Network | Security | Electronics Technician, or a person with a sound knowledge of electronics who is keen to learn new skills. Full training on the Austco Nurse Call System will be provided. MCS have development and distribute a Messaging Application based on the Android platform for critical alerts across sites. Applicants must have the ability to gain the appropriate Police clearances to work with Children and vulnerable persons and be willing to adhere to SA Health requirements and guidelines for compliance to any mandated vaccinations, current and future. Including the wearing of all PPE. Including entry testing as required for entering SA Hospitals and Aged care facilities. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Attending Hospitals and Aged care facilities throughout SA including country locations Installation of data cabling adhering to relevant Standards Installing Nurse Call Systems Setting up a LAN Programming and testing Servicing, fault finding and repair of Nurse Call Systems Routine Maintenance of installed systems Documenting results from Service and maintenance visits Liaising with Hospital's Facility Management Service personnel Liaising with Aged Care Facilities and their Maintenance teams Favourable Attributes: Electronics, an understanding of the basic fundamentals Configuring Networks / IT Fundamentals Security System programming / installation Wi-Fi System installation / configuration AV System installation / configuration Android App development Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software applications Neat and legible handwriting There are no formal qualifications required however the following attributes are preferred: Open cabling license Current SA Drivers License (ability to drive a manual vehicle an advantage) Eligibility to obtain a Police Clearance for the following 2 points Able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance Able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance Willing to comply to all requirements set by SA Health as a requirement for entering SA Hospitals and or Aged Care facilities in the future.
