THE COMPANY MAK Industrial Water Solutions is a national water and wastewater treatment specialist. With branches nationwide, we provide high-level operational and maintenance support to our clients across multiple industries. THE ROLE We are currently seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler / Fitter to join our Manufacturing team. This is a full-time permanent workshop-based role offering long-term stability, ongoing training, and the opportunity to work on unique projects from start to finish. Working within a supportive team environment, you will assist in the assembly and fit-out of containerised water treatment systems including pumps, filters, tanks, pipework and associated equipment. This role would suit someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Assemble and fit out water treatment systems and associated equipment Install pumps, filters, tanks, brackets and associated pipework[DO1] Read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics Conduct pressure testing and quality checks Work collaboratively with Electrical Technicians, the wider Manufacturing team[DO2] , internal and external stakeholders Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop Assist with site installations and commissioning when required About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Mechanical fitting, plumbing or similar trade experience Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Current Driver’s Licence Highly Regarded Forklift Licence Poly welding experience Rigging & Dogging tickets Experience in manufacturing, assembly or water treatment industries WHAT WE OFFER This is a unique opportunity to join “The Smart Water People”.
