About the role We have a fantastic permanent full-time opportunity within our Fleet Services team. This position will perform a wide range of essential tasks in a busy workshop environment within the City’s Fleet Services team including maintenance scheduling, asset procurement & disposal and high-level administrative tasks (such as invoicing and financial management) when assisting the Fleet Services team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Schedule the maintenance of the City’s fleet including passenger vehicles, heavy vehicles, plant and equipment. Assist Supervisor Fleet Services to ensure all administrative tasks including purchasing, contracts, procurement, and invoicing is completed on time. Assist Graduate Mechanical Engineer to prepare & implement the Fleet Replacement Programme efficiently and accurately, for all plant and equipment City wide. Assist Coordinator Fleet Services to identify opportunities for improvement and manage projects as required. Maintain Fleet management systems, procedures, and associated documentation. Record fuel usage daily for all plant / vehicles of the City and prepare associated end of month financial reports. Ensure regular inspections of all plant/vehicles/equipment are carried out and schedule additional repairs as required. Develop maintenance schedules to ensure compliance of manufacturer’s warranty and servicing requirements of plant. About you The successful candidate will have the following: A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence Diploma in Business Management/Administration or relevant practical experience Experience in working within a busy office to deliver exceptional customer service and a diverse range of operational support services efficiently and effectively Experience in solving problems efficiently and effectively for the business Experience in Tender documentation and contract administration For more information about the role please refer to the position description.
